Brig. Gen. Dr. Hassan Hadi Latheeth

Brigadier General Dr. Hassan Hadi Latheeth is an Iraqi cybersecurity expert with extensive experience in cybercrime investigation, digital security, electronic evidence, and regional cybersecurity cooperation. He previously served as Director of the Cybersecurity Directorate at Iraq’s Ministry of Interior and has represented Iraq in major international cybersecurity initiatives. He was selected to lead the Cybercrime Working Group for the Gulf, Middle East, and North Africa region within INTERPOL-related cooperation frameworks, contributing to regional coordination against cyber fraud, digital extortion, malware, and other emerging cyber threats. His work focuses on strengthening national cyber resilience, developing digital investigation capabilities, building cybersecurity expertise, and advancing international cooperation to combat cybercrime and protect digital infrastructure.
