Dr. Imed Zitouni is a senior technology executive, researcher, and internationally recognized expert in artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and speech recognition, with more than 20 years of experience in research, engineering, and technology leadership. He currently serves as Senior Director of Engineering at Meta. His career includes senior technical and research roles at leading global technology organizations, including Google, Microsoft, IBM Watson Research, and Bell Labs. Dr. Zitouni has contributed extensively to the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, search, and speech technologies. He is also the Editor-in-Chief of ACM Transactions on Asian and Low-Resource Language Information Processing (TALLIP) and has authored and contributed to numerous patents and scientific publications. He has been recognized among 30 leading Arab experts in artificial intelligence by MIT Technology Review Arabia, reflecting his significant contributions to the advancement of AI and language technologies.
