Dr. Jameela Al-Raabi is the World Health Organization Representative in Iraq. She has more than 30 years of experience in public health, health policy and management. Prior to her appointment in Iraq, she served as WHO Representative in Jordan from 2021 to 2025 and held several senior positions within WHO’s Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office, including Regional Adviser for Child and Adolescent Health. She is a pediatrician by training and holds academic qualifications in medicine, pediatric endocrinology and public administration.
