The Communications and Media Commission (CMC) is Iraq’s independent regulatory authority for the telecommunications, media, and information technology sectors. Established in 2004, the Commission is responsible for regulating sector activity, licensing, spectrum oversight, market governance, and supporting the development of a competitive and secure communications environment in Iraq.
