Ahmed Rakwi is a notable figure in Iraq's digital infrastructure sector. He currently serves as the CEO of IRAQ-IXP, the country's first neutral Internet Exchange Point (IXP), which is operated in partnership with DE-CIX, a leading global Internet Exchange operator. Under his leadership, IRAQ-IXP has rapidly expanded, becoming the third-largest Internet Exchange in the Middle East within just one year of operation. Ahmed Rakwi's vision is to position Iraq as a strategic digital hub in the region. He has emphasized the importance of enhancing internet connectivity and performance for both local and international networks. His efforts have been instrumental in improving the speed, quality, and stability of internet services in Iraq, thereby supporting the country's digital transformation.
