Dr. Blasim Salim is the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of Iraq’s Communications and Media Commission (CMC), the independent regulatory authority overseeing the communications, media, and information technology sectors in Iraq. In his role, he leads the Board of Commissioners in addressing regulatory, institutional, and policy matters related to the development of Iraq’s communications and media ecosystem. His work includes advancing regulatory frameworks, supporting digital transformation, strengthening institutional governance, and engaging with government bodies, industry stakeholders, and international partners on the development of Iraq’s telecommunications and digital sectors. He has also represented Iraq in regional engagements related to media and digital policy.
